Project Manager - Guildford - Contract - 6months -up to £900/day
Key Words / Skills: Project Manager, Highways England, Infrastructure, Project Director
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager/Director with infrastructure experience to perform the following key, high-level functions within Area 4 of the Regional Investment Programme (South East).
Strategically monitor delivery of objectives and benefits, taking appropriate action where necessary to ensure the successful delivery, commercial fit and economic needs
Own the programme/project brief and business case including defining the governance
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and ensure customer service is a key consideration in developing and delivering projects.
Identify and secure the necessary investment for the business case (this includes both budget and operational resource) and identify what level of funding the completed project/programme commits the organisation to once delivered (including ongoing asset management costs for the life span of the delivered product)
Provide the clarity on the handoffs from the strategy and sponsorship function to other parts of Major Projects and Highways England (including Capital Portfolio Management and Strategy and Planning)
You will be an experienced infrastructure/highways Project Manager
Significant experience of complex infrastructure project and programme management
Experience of design and/or construction phase project management experience to include all aspects Health and Safety
Demonstrable experience of robustly managing construction project delivery
Experience of working in a multiple stakeholder environment
Creative problem solving skills
