Highways Technician/Engineer required with hand on design experience - 6 Weeks+ Contract - Warrington

The Role:
Our client requires a Highways Technician/Engineer to lead elements of design on projects and to assist the senior engineer with the overall delivery. You will act as lead designer on a range of highway projects through detail design, liaising with other disciplines and teams as required on projects. You will have technical responsibility for ensuring designs are delivered in accordance with current standards and best practices.

The role is initially 6 weeks in duration (until the end of the financial year but may be extended in April, subject to workload). 

The Candidate:
You must be a Highways/Traffic Technician/Engineer.
You must be able to act as lead designer assisting with delivery of projects.
You will have previous experience of Highways Agency/Local authority projects.
You will have knowledge of AutoCAD/Civils 3D/MX/WinDES.
You should have an understanding of DMRB and MCHW.
Experience of pavement design, sign design, barrier design and drainage design is preferred.
You must have experience producing TRO’s, TTRO’s and Departures from Standard.
A relevant civil engineering qualification (degree) is preferred.
