ICT Project Manager - WFH / Manchester - Duration 9 months - Rate c£440/day umbrella.

Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working alongside Manchester City Council in order to resource an ICT Project Manager to work on a 9 month contract.

WFH with office visits - as and when required.
As an ICT Project Manager your duties / responsibilities may include:
Highways service: 

The Highway’s Service is rapidly growing with a number of major projects planned across the City. There is a huge investment towards sustainable travel in line with the City Centre Transport Strategy 2040 in which Manchester is prioritising projects focused on increased walking and cycling.  Continued high levels of highway maintenance are key to upholding the success of our highway and transport systems and therefore the implementation of a new Highway Asset Management System is critical in supporting this success.  The role holder will play a huge part in implementing this new system and ensuring users are knowledgeable and confident about its use and development.  Providing strategic and operational support through contribution of this project, the role holder will ensure that the Highways service successfully continue to meet their obligations of asset management.  With the recent legislation for all public sector contracts to have social value consideration, this role holder will work closely with Highways social value colleagues to ensure the new suppliers’ social value commitments are delivered as part of this ongoing contract.
 
ICT Service: 

The overall aim of the ICT Service is to manage the network, computers and systems that support internal and external Council services. ICT also provide strategic direction for technology development and ICT Project Management.   The ICT Service supports over 9000 users of PCs, laptops and Wyse Citrix terminals across the Manchester City Council network and remotely.  
  
The role holder will have: 
 
Experience of supplier management and awareness of how the external market affects the business and service. 
Experience of delivering projects via third parties. 
To work flexibly as required to meet customer demand and service requirements. 
Experienced ICT Project Manager.
Local Authority experience essential.
