Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Babcock Naval Marine in order to recruit an Inspector / Engineer to work on a 6 month contract at Faslane G84.
As an Inspector your duties and responsibilities will include:
We would require a ISO17020 accredited inspector to examine the following items of plant.
Passenger & Goods Lifts (Hydraulic, Traction, MRL).
Platform lifts.
Cranes (Mobile, Jetty, Overhead).

To facilitate the continued safe & compliant state of all lifting equipment at HMNB Clyde through application of statutory Thorough Examination and written Schemes of Examination of all lifting equipment & associated accessories.

Assist the Principal Compliance Engineer in maximising the utilisation of all the section’s resource.

Ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company’s cost, time and quality requirements.

Implementation of the Company Safety, Quality and Environmental policies in the Regulatory Systems area of the business ensuring that assessments of risks are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices.

Conduct Written Schemes of Examination and Thorough Examinations, including the production of thorough Examination Reports, for all lifting appliances and equipment.

Provide specialist engineering support as required on all new & existing lifting appliances and equipment.

Support statutory examination of lifting appliances of ashore and afloat locations at HMNB Clyde.

Lifting Appliances: - circa 148 (Mobile cranes, Overhead Travelling cranes, Hoists, Passenger & Goods lifts)
Lifting Accessories: - circa 1,679 Lists incorporating approximately 7500 accessories for lifting.

Qualifications and Licences
Qualifications and Licences could include; NSQEP training requirements, Appointed Person certification, Skilled Person certification, IT Applications, Trade certificates, etc.

This should not be a list of the jobholder’s personal skills and qualifications but rather those required to meet the requirements of the job.
Qualification/Licence Name Validation Period Core.
Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent.

Candidate:
You will be an experienced Inspector/Engineer.
5-10 years experience ideally.
