The Role:
To act as a team member for the independent assessment of the business’ emergency arrangements exercise programme both onsite and offsite.
In the event of an onsite emergency, to act as an independent member of the Silver or Bronze Commands. Providing advice, as required, and ensuring that appropriate records are maintained.
To conduct reactive interventions and support independent investigations into events relating to nuclear / radiological safety in accordance with DRDL procedures.
To support and join Ministry Of Defence assurance, COMDEVFLOT, Naval Base Safety and external Regulator activities as required (Further Authorisation Condition 1).
To act as a role model for health and safety behaviours and actively participate in the Visible Leadership Programme
To undertake specific assignments as required.
The Inspector shall be competency assessed and appointed in accordance with NUA(D)-PM-032.
• Nuclear Warship Support Course (desirable) or Nuclear Practitioner Course Modules 1 to 4 (desirable).
• Lead Auditors Course.
• Lead Investigator Course.
• A degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification.
• Submarine Quality Assurance Course.
• Root Cause Analysis Course.
• Duly Appointed Person Course.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Nuclear Inspector Engineer.
Ideally degree qualified.
