Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Cavendish Nuclear in order to recruit a Lead Expeditor to work on a 6 month contract.
As a Lead Expeditor your duties and responsibilities will include:

Accountabilities:
Senior Commercial Lead responsible for expediting the procurement, administration and close out of all NNB supply contracts across the MEH programme, excluding the NSSS contract.
A key member MEH Programme Procurement Task Force.
Lead the MEH Supply Chain team to resolve any blockers, including holding other functions to account for the timely provision of information, and thus drive the on-schedule achievement of gateways.
Enforce compliance with governance processes.
The management of commercial teams providing world class commercial support to a complex portfolio of contracts (over £1 billion in capital value) within a highly collaborative and integrated Alliance environment.
The commercial management of contracts in accordance with NNB governance requirements to meet NNB HPC Project and business objectives.
Consideration of the nuclear baseline and distribution of nuclear safety significant responsibilities within the team.
The successful execution of, and maintaining compliance with, the procurement process during the Procurement phase (pre-award).
Leading a team in the commercial management of contracts during the execution phase (post-award).
Professional development of self and people within the team.
Engagement where necessary with the UK regulators (ONR / EA / CNS).
Engagement where necessary with Key (internal and external) Project Stakeholders (EDF / CGN).
Where appropriate ensure that all Principal Accountabilities for the Commercial Team are implemented in accordance with the NNB Supply Chain Catalogue and NNB commercial procedures.
Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major EPC projects.
Experienced in delivering and operating at a Leadership Level.
Experienced in working in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.

Attributes and skills:
Highly developed commercial skills and demonstrable ability to make sound decisions on matters of high financial value.
Good understanding of procurement, contract performance measurement, risk management and change and claim management.
Good negotiating, influencing and communication skills to command professional respect at all levels.
Experience with most common Forms of Contract (NEC & FIDIC) within the power construction industry and major projects and programme environment; with particular knowledge of UK Law and its impact upon the contract and commercial function is essential.
Familiar with the nuclear site licence conditions and the nuclear baseline philosophy.
Good understanding of the UK regulatory framework.
