Lead Planning Engineer/Manager - 12mth Contract Barrow - rate c£550.0 per day

The Role: 
Lead Planning Engineer/Manager to Lead and develop the planning function to achieve their work programme, meeting all performance measures (cost schedule, quality and safety) in supporting the scheduling of work orders. 
Duties:
You will be responsible for managing both resources and activities to meet the development of the programme.
Lead, develop and motivate any reporting and assigned staff through good communication and open management techniques in keeping with company values, policies and procedures 
You will be responsible as the client contact and work facilitator for the team.
You will ensure that the programme is within all company and legislative health and safety guidelines. 
You will be responsible for the performance management of planning team, including performance reviews, in line with the company process. 
Preparation of required company reports within the business. 
Implementation of EVM 

The Candidate: 
You will be a Lead Planning Engineer/Manager with experience in leading the development of major programmes, project management & control / procurement management and implementing innovative project control processes and control systems applied to major highly regulated projects.
You will have demonstrable leadership qualities with the ability to provide necessary technical advice that supports the acceptance of the planning output.
You will be experienced of Primavera P6 planning software with the ability to produce and interpret EVM (Earned Value Management) data; produced from Primavera P6 planning software and the production of " what if " scenarios to support forecasting and change control. 
You will be qualified to degree/HNC level with experience in a highly regulated sector i.e. Defence, or rail.
