Logistics Engineer – 6 month Contract in Warrington

The Role:
Logistics Engineer required to provide advice to client and challenge supplier proposals and strategies with respect to the movement of manpower, materials and structures. You will support the client in the role of Intelligent Customer (IC) with a focus on a programme of optioneeting and design development. You will support the establishment of design underpinning for clients Development Consent Order (DCO) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) submissions and cost estimation activities. You will challenge the EPC contractor on strategies and plans for logistics (freight and people). You will have experience of the movement of manpower, materials and structures by road, rail and by sea. 
The role requires flexibility to travel between the clients North West office and the office of the EPC Contractor in Farnborough.

The Candidate:
You will be a Logistics Engineer with experience in logistics planning/constructability analysis on major capital projects.
You will be educated to degree level in engineering or logistics.
You should have Chartered Engineer status and membership of relevant institution.
Demonstrable experience of logistics leadership in large multi-billion pound projects.
Must have the ability to interrogate schedules and freight profiles.
You will have an understanding of the role of an Intelligent Customer.
You should have a clear understanding of the importance of a Nuclear Safety Culture.
You MUST be able to achieve SC Clearance.
