M&E Engineer 6MTH + Contract – rate c£40/hr (Neg.) – Plymouth 
KEY Skills: Mechanical Services, Electrical Services – SC Clearance 

The Role:

M&E Engineer – to work within the Strategic Infrastructure business unit for Babcock based at Devonport, Plymouth. The Strategic Infrastructure business unit team are currently engaged on three projects allocated in supporting the Astute submarine class for future maintenance activities. Two projects are focused on direct support (Primary Facilities – Dock & Berth), whilst a supporting project (Secondary Facilities) ensures that suitable services, logistics, workshops etc are in place. 

Duties will include:
As M&E, you will be responsible in supporting the technical documentation required for the start-up phase of the Secondary Facilities. 

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced M&E Engineer educated to HNC/degree in a relevant engineering discipline. 
You will preferably be either a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer and a Member of a relevant engineering Professional Institute or working towards a professional qualification (CEng, IEng)
In addition, you will have exp. translating user Requirements into System Requirements and have a good understanding of electrical and mechanical services and site infrastructure for a complex site.

Due to the nature of the projects, SC clearance is required for this role.
