The Role:
Our client the MOD is looking to recruit a Marine Engineer (Naval Architect) to work on contract at Abbey Wood, Bristol.
Degree/ chartered status with submarine experience to apply specialist knowledge, as the intelligent customer, in the area of submarine design.
The focus will be on reviewing and assessing changes to submarine overall design, reviewing the contents of maintenance period work packages and reviewing and approving concessions.
These tasks will be aimed at all operation submarines, including those in refit.
Concession approval.
Work package approval.
Design change review and approval.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Marine Engineer (Naval Architect / Structural Engineer) with at least 5 - 10 years experience.
You should be degree qualified / chartered engineer status.
You will have experience within the MOD / submarine environment - operational and refit works.
Due to the nature of the work and our client being MOD - Security Clearance is essential.
