The Role:
3D CAD Designer required to start as soon as possible in the UK Astronomy Technology Centre in Edinburgh for UKSBS / Science and Technology Facilities Council.
Duties will include:
As the 3D CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing manufacturing drawings on 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor software) of opto-mechanical parts and assemblies.
Input will be 3D CAD layouts and specifications provided by a Senior Engineer.
Some level of detailed design may be required such as tolerancing, manufacture and assembly considerations.
CAD draughting standard will be to BS8888.

The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have baseline clearance (BPSS) and be educated to ONC/HNC level as a minimum.
You will have demonstrable, extensive experience in producing detailed manufacturing drawings of precision mechanical parts on the specific CAD software (Autodesk Inventor).
