Mechanical Building Services Engineer; 12month plus contract

The Role: 
Supporting principal engineers and/or other line managers. 
Prepare documentation (drawings, designs, specifications), tailored to required stage of project completion, covering all aspects of mechanical services.
Carry out detailed surveys of mechanical services and equipment to establish the extent of the existing installation and gain enough information to complete design and to report findings to others as required
Advise on all aspects of energy consumption and utilisation, identify on mitigation schemes and give recommendations to improve energy performance.
Assist in the monitoring of the design and project management of commissions within agreed programmes
Ensure compliance with building regulations for engineering aspects of delegated projects

The Candidate:
Knowledge of current building regulations and relevant legislation
Experience of using Hevacomp and AutoCad, IES experience is beneficial however not essential
Revit knowledge and experience will be beneficial
Must have initiative, self-motivation and the confidence to make decisions
Good verbal communication skills
Experience of working with Mechanical Engineer - Building Services software, including Hevacomp, Cymap.
An understanding of BIM and Revit would be beneficial.
Experience in the pricing of work packages.
Degree in mechanical building services engineering with experience ideally gained within a consultancy background
You will be working towards chartered status.
Experience working in a nuclear or general consultancy environment within mechanical building services discipline will be advantageous
