Mechanical Designer, 6mths+, Oxford 
KEY Skills: SolidEdge, component design, bespoke equipment, fabrication drawings

The Role:
Mechanical Designer required to join a team using SolidEdge to develop conceptual design drawings into detail design drawings.

This work includes conceptual 3D layout & equipment modelling, production of mechanical detailed drawings to BS 8888 using 2D and 3D CAD.
Must be able to work using own initiative and part of disciplined team, reporting to the lead engineer.

The Candidate:
You will be qualified to HNC/level 4 in mechanical engineering or equivalent with relevant associated experience.
You will have SolidEdge CAD experience together with experience in the production of detailed drawings to BS8888.

In addition, your experience will include: 
Mechanical component design of bespoke equipment
Use of Geometric tolerancing and precision machining of parts
Past practical experience in the manufacture and assembly of parts
Production of fabrication drawings

You will ideally have working in a scientific or nuclear environment.
