The Role:
Our client CNS Ltd require a Mechanical Designer to work on a long term contract basis initially for 12 months based at Radar Rd Leicester.

The role involves / your duties may include:
Provide design solutions for the nuclear industry through production of:
Design Schemes (with appropriate support)
Design Proposal Drawings
Detail Drawings
Fabrication Drawings
General Assemblies
Bills of Materials
Input to Technical Specifications and O&M Manuals
Take responsibility for delivery of work packages to programme, budget and required quality.
Have some experience in applying relevant EH&S issues as required by legislation (and applicable Directives).
Support at Designers Risk Assessments / Design Reviews and ideally at HAZOP studies.
Have a sound knowledge of fabrication techniques.
Have a sound knowledge of achievable manufacturing accuracy,
Good knowledge of geometric tolerances, weld symbols, limits and fits, surface finish.
Working knowledge of commonly used materials and standards.

The Candidate:
You will be a Mechanical Designer with at least 5 years experience.
Ideally you will be qualified to HNC / HND level.
You should have Autodesk Inventor experience.
You should have Autodesk Vault experience.
You will ideally have some experience of formal change control.
