Mechanical Designer: 6mth Contract – £30.0/hour (Umbrella) - Didcot (Oxfordshire)

The Role:
Mechanical designer required to undertake the detailed design of components and assemblies for a laser system, based on existing designs or concepts already developed using 3D CAD to produce all models and drawings.
You will work within an existing design team and report to a senior engineer. 
The role is based within; The Centre for Advance Laser Technologies and Applications (CALTA) and focusses on developing and supplying laser systems as part of commercial or collaborative international projects.

Duties will include:  
The production of detailed 3D CAD designs to components and assemblies. 

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Mechanical CAD Designer qualified to ONC plus level. You will able to operate CAD to produce engineering models and manufacturing drawings
You will have a good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and experience of mechanical design and relevant engineering qualifications.
