The Role:
Mechanical Engineer required with experience of hydraulic systems to work on a range of complex and demanding defence sector projects.
You will work as part of a team responsible for the delivery of naval hydraulic/pneumatic design solutions, specifically within (WLS) weapon launch systems for submarine application.
Duties will include:
Ensuring that designs are compliant to requirements including setting to work on submarines.
Ensuring common design approach and maximum commonalities of systems/components within new product design.
Checking and approving design documentation, drawings, calculations and supporting formal design reviews.

The Candidate:
You will be an experience Mechanical Engineer with knowledge/experience of hydraulic systems.
Experience of hydraulic/pneumatic and fluid power systems in a practical application would be
beneficial.
You will ideally be degree qualified (BEng or BSc) in Mechanical Engineering and have be an advanced 3D CAD system user.
Incorporated or Chartered Engineer Status would be beneficial.
A defence or marine background would be desirable.
Eligible for SC clearance or has held SC clearance is essential.
