Mechanical Engineer - £35-£60/hr - Contract - Derby or Hammersmith

The Role:
Our client is looking to recruit a traction and rolling stock consultant (mechanical engineer) with experience in vehicle modifications and design.
You will be expected to provide support across a range of projects involving vehicle modifications, vehicle design and assurance and project engineering.
Produce and verify design documentation including reports.
Provide project engineering support including design assurance.
Preferably capable of leading mechanical design of vehicle modifications, including checking of design calculations.
The individual at this level is responsible for independently applying advanced engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods.

The Candidate:
You will be a degree qualified engineer with at least 5-10 years experience.
You will have experience of mechanical vehicle design, be capable of verifying designs and associated calculations including Finite Element Analysis.
