The Role:
The role of a Mechanical Production Engineer is to ensure that during Assembly & Test activities, the regulatory and statutory requirements for the scope of work upon the clients site are complied with and to ensure the design and safety intent is met in construction. A Production Engineer shall ensure all engineering planning; safe systems of work and despatch procedures are in place to undertake packages of work.

Duties will include:
Ensure compliance by the client’s personnel and subcontractors (iaw HS-PRD-005) with the requirements of the clients Project Safety Plan, The Clients Site Health, safety, Environmental and welfare Plan and associated documents and legislation. Perform other duties appropriate to specialisation/tasks within the department when requested by the A,T & D Manager that lie within the capabilities and experience of the Production engineer
Ensure that changes are effectively controlled and that work is co-ordinated to minimise delays and costs in meeting construction programme dates. Produce, and maintain in a timely manner, the documentation required for their part of the activities/work scope. This includes Implementation Quality Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments etc. Ensure that contractors and their supervisors undertake their respective roles and ensure they take positive action to maintain safety, health and environmental arrangements to the highest possible standards. (iaw HS-PRD-035 & AT-PRD-100). Produce forecasts of resource and labour requirements to satisfy the needs of a project programme, for their respective work area.

The Candidate: 
You will be qualified to, a minimum, ONC/HNC level in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
5 years’ experience within Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering
Relevant experience within the Power or Nuclear sector
