Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Babcock Naval Marine in order to recruit a Metallurgist to work on a long term contract at Helensburgh G84.
As a Metallurgist your duties and responsibilities will include:
Conduct Metallurgical, Destructive and Non Destructive Examinations, accept/reject results and produce reports in accordance with applicable procedures.  Includes the production of Production Technical Instructions and Procedures. (AC28)
Assist the Engineering Inspection Manager in maximising the utilisation and the efficiency of all the Metallurgy resource.
Ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company’s cost, time and quality requirements.
Implementation of the Company Safety, Quality and Environmental policies in the Metallurgy area of the business ensuring that assessments of risk are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices. (AC17)
Support the Engineering Inspection Manager to deliver the main objective and purpose, and representing the Engineering Inspection Manager when required.
Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with the Clyde Safety Management Arrangements. (AC17)
As a Radiation Protection Supervisor, ensure the necessary legislative requirements and standards are met. (AC18)
Nuclear Engineering.

Non Destructive Examination techniques and their application.
Destructive Examination techniques and their application.
Stress Corrosion Cracking Inspections.
Brown Stain Categorisation.
Material Science.

Candidate:
You will be an experienced Metallurgist.
5-10 years experience.
