Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Babcock/Thales in order to recruit a Mission Systems Eng to work on a 12 month contract WFH or Rosyth.
As a Mission Systems Engineer your responsibilities and duties will include:
Support for Thales into Babcock Type31 Senior Management Team in Thales’s role of Type31 Mission Systems Integrator (delivering the CMS, Comms and Nav & Bridge System)
Support the establishment of and maintain a thorough transparency in Thales’ execution of their scope of work within Thales UK Leadership, Business Units and the ‘on the ground’ T31 Thales Project Delivery Team.
Supporting the need to ensure that all Technical requirements, as defined by our contracts, are successfully delivered to defined schedules in Technical and Programmatic Scope and delivery-timescales.
Liaise with Type31 Teams and Functions to ensure GFx and CFx are clearly identified, managed and delivered; with consequential impacts defined.

Support the Mission Systems Technical Lead to ensure a fully functioning, integrated and compliant Technical and Engineered solution from the Mission System Integrator, Thales:
Provide insight and support into the Mission System Integrator regarding:

Requirements Management:
Client Requirements compliance,
Babcock T31 team 'expanded' requirements,
Mission System Integrators' own developed requirements,
General Technical Requirements (GTR),
interfaces and Interfaces Control Documents assigned to the Mission System Integrator,
Interaction of the Mission System Integrator with other systems, sub-systems and equipment (including ILS scope)

The whole development life-cycle:
Including but not limited to Mission System Integrators' input into Babcock's T31 Client Design Reviews and all feeder sub-reviews and their entry and exit reviews.
Examples being SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, PRR, FCA, PCA, FAT and/or FQT, Pre-shipping Reviews, RIW, RIY, prePower-up, Power-Up, Commissioning, CCIs, HATs, SATs and remedial activities as needed between events.
Change control of technical requirements and their impacts, including support to Change Control Boards (CCBs)


Scope of work deliverables are as below, but it is expected that the contractor produces or effect any and all deliverables that are required to meet the primary scope of work:
Monthly report covering progress and issues;
Written comments on Mission System Integrator deliverables;
Preparation of presentations for Mission System meetings (and attendance and delivery);
Technical reports covering non compliance issues;
Technical minutes from Steering and other working groups;
Completed ECRs.


In order to complete this scope of work it is considered that the following will be key Babcock stakeholders the contractor will work with:

T31 Mission Systems Technical Lead and Chief Engineer.
To ensure a fully compliant and functioning integrated solution from Thales UK Ltd.
Key technical interface to ensure that technical interfaces, physical, software, ILS are all met achieved.
Technical management processes for the programme are being followed to communicate with engineering and detail design.

T31 Thales Contract Manager
To ensure a fully compliant and functioning integrated solution from Thales UK Ltd.
Provide assistance and insight with other suppliers associated with equipment, products and artefacts who integrate with Thales' T31 portfolio in whatever regard.
The roll-out and use of Red Flag Reports (RFRs) and Work Around Plans (WAPs), KPI and ‘trend’ Reporting by the whole supply-chain, as applicable to Missions Systems interfaces.

Candidate:
You will be Degree / Chartered Eng.
You will be an experienced Mission Systems Eng.
10+ years in a similar/senior role.
Excellent communication skills.
