The Role:
Naval Architect offering professional support to the Strategic Class Authority (SCA) for Amphibious (Amph) hull and constructive engineering provision in addition to assisting in the delivery of critical safety management tasks for future maritime platform designs.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced NAVAL ARCHITECT who provides subject matter expertise and supports scientific investigations on future maritime platform design challenges and issues.
As the NAVAL ARCHITECT you will support the development of techniques and tools for platform concept design and analysis to enable analysis of the relationships between design concepts, technologies, affordability, performance and capability to be carried out and recommendations made as to how capability can be realised most cost effectively.
Provide expertise and support scientific investigations concerning the hydrodynamics of maritime platforms including the application of theoretical methods, experimental methods, modelling and simulation tools and techniques to enable informed decisions and recommendations concerning potential hydrodynamic behaviour of maritime concepts. Marine design experience is essential.
Degree qualified in Naval Architecture or a similar discipline.
