NEC Project Manager required to oversee highways and transportation infrastructure projects, including public realm works 

 

NEC Project Manager required to oversee highways and transportation infrastructure projects, including public realm works 

Duties: As the NEC Project Manager you will be responsible for administering and supervising multiple projects simultaneously undertaken by the councils Alliance Framework Contractors with construction values ranging from £10k to £10m

Fulfil NEC Project Manager duties, including:
·Act as stated in the NEC contract and in a spirit of mutual trust and co-operation
·Communicate in a form which can be read, copied and recorded
·Reply to communications in a timely manner within the period for reply in the contract data
·Notify to the contractor any extensions to the period of reply
·Issue certificates to the employer and to the contractor
·Notify the contractor of delegation of any actions
·Monitor the contractors planned completion and completion dates
·Give early warnings of matters with delay cost or performance implications
·Cooperation at risk meetings, record decisions taken at the risk reduction meetings to revise the risk register and give instructions changing the works information
·Give instructions changing the works information, notification of ambiguities and anomalies giving instructions resolving ambiguities
·To accept particulars of contractor’s design.


The candidate: 
You will ideally have a min of five years’ experience administering NEC ECC forms of contract in an equivalent role (including Options A and B payment mechanisms), supervision of contractors on site and verification of valuations for completed works;
Experience of working on highways and transportation infrastructure projects, including public realm works, in a town centre environment is essential;
Experience of working across multiple projects (up to five at any one time) simultaneously with construction values ranging from £10k to £10m is desirable;
Relevant NEC contract and / or professional qualifications would be advantageous
