Nuclear Decommissioning Project Planner: Contract, Whitehaven, Cumbria, Duration: 12-months, Rate: c£45/day Ltd

The Role:
This position represents a key position within the client’s engineering project management team, you will be focusing on the design, site mobilisation and delivery phases of Nuclear Decommissioning Projects within the UK.

Duties will involve:
As a Nuclear Decommissioning Project Planner within a busy and growing organisation, primary duties will include;
Assisting the engineering, design and decommissioning teams by developing and aligning work load and programmes
Preparing target programmes to issue to sub-contractors
Monitoring and preparing progress report with the project managers
Providing information to the main contractor to assist in obtaining extension of time approval for a number of sectional completion dates
Providing information to senior managers on work force requirements
Preparing programmes and set up procedures to monitor activities and collating documentation in readiness for O&M’s
Managing snagging / defects and outstanding works schedules.

The Candidate:
You will have proven experience as an engineering project planner as well as;
Degree in a relevant engineering/construction related discipline
Be proficient in Primavera P6
Possess strong skills in the use of MS Project and Excel
Preferably hold experience in the nuclear industry, though this is not essential
Be commercially aware
