Nuclear Safety Case Manager - upto £70/hr - Devonport - Contract 6 months+

The Project:
As the Nuclear Safety Case Manager you will be engaged on a major programme of works to turn the Devonport Royal Dockyard, Western Europe’s largest naval base into the naval base and dockyard of the future, able to support the Royal Navy’s future surface and submarine fleets.

Comprising of 14 dry docks, four miles of waterfront and 25 tidal berths, Devonport is the base for numerous surface vessels as well as the base and refit centre for the Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered submarines.
Devonport has also recently been selected as the base port for the Navy’s new Type 26 frigates and will become the maintenance centre for the future submarine programme including Astute and Dreadnought class.

The Role:
As the  you will be responsible for the development and delivery of phased Nuclear Safety Cases to meet an agreed set of User, DA, Licensee and other business requirements.

Key duties will include:
Delivery of Facility Staged Nuclear Safety Cases.
Contribute to development and implementation of Nuclear Safety Processes & Standards.
Nuclear Safety Requirements Development & Management.
Support ONR & EA interface.
Work with other Safety Managers, Chief Engineer function and Site Safety Technical Authority.

The Candidate:
You will be a Chartered Engineer ideally.
You will have Nuclear Safety Analysis Process Management experience.
You should have knowledge of Awareness of the design process.
You will have Awareness of Reactor Performance & Nuclear Safety and have Transverse technical skills.
You will need excellent communication skills both written and oral.
