Piping Engineer - Cheshire - 12months - Rate c£NEG

Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side a client near Manchester Airport/Cheshire in order to resource a Piping Engineer to work on an ongoing basis.
As a Piping Engineer your duties and responsibilities will include:
The Piping Engineer will be responsible for:
Plant setup, equipment and piping placement layouts, specification of piping materials and
Piping Stress Analysis.
CAD or 3D Modelling preparation and design all construction related documents for the
required supporting infrastructure.
Direct input or oversight of onsite construction and commissioning support, depending on
the project.
Production of valve datasheets and specifications and piping special datasheets and
specifications, e.g. strainers, filters, flame arrestors and other inline piping items.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager (Projects), you will liaise closely with engineering designers
and draughtspersons within the projects group in the development of our designs.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Evaluate and analyse all client requirements and prepare necessary designs for Clients in
accordance with piping specifications.
Analyse all mechanical designs, sketch various concepts for piping designs and finally
develop the mechanical drawings in accordance with our procedures.
Inspect and analyse all mechanical equipment and ensure all these have adhered to the
latest appropriate standards and technology.
Prepare and design all construction related documents for the required supporting
Preparation of all work instructions necessary for equipment setup.
Collaborate with the project design team and provide appropriate engineering support.
Provide support to all purchase activities and ensure the correctness of vendor submittals.
Interpret all design codes and ensure effective performance of all piping activities.
Develop new methods and strategies to suggest improvements to all activities carried out by
the piping designing team.
Proactively engage with customers internally and externally, developing and maintaining
strong, positive business relationships. 

Ideally educated to a degree level in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical
engineering, civil engineering, marine engineering or chemical engineering.
Have experience in the petrochemicals, chemicals or renewable energy industries.
Have considerable experience of working in a design and engineering environment.
An ability to think strategically and understanding the implication of changes to contract
An ability to work collaboratively with all engineering design and construction disciplines.
Knowledge or experience of working in the US or Europe would be beneficial.
Understanding of Designer and Principal Designer Roles under CDM.
A knowledge of pipe painting and corrosion protection systems would be beneficial.
Working knowledge of Office 365 including One Drive and Sharepoint with proficient use of
Word and Excel.
