Planning Engineer - Bristol - Contract 12months - Rate £38/hr

Overview / Responsibilities:

Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working alongside Babcock Naval Marine in order to recruit a PLANNINNG ENGINEER to work on a contract basis for initially 12months+ based in Bristol BS34. This role does fall inside scope of IR35, so an umbrella service will have to be used.
As a PLANNING ENGINEER you will be responsible for;
Identify key items, activities and dates; project logic and durations; resource constraints; facility and safety case interfaces and constraints to comply with the requirements of the Work Breakdown Structure.
Highlight risks, issues, options, mitigating factors and opportunities to the SSMP from the scope of the work specification.
Liaise with all groups as required within the submarine enterprise to obtain project activity logic, durations and interfaces as necessary.
Identify patterns, trends and anomalies within the advanced planning work specifications, which have an effect on the planning and delivery of projects, for feedback to the appropriate groups for action, i.e. Design Services, Design Authorities.
Identify, within the advanced planning work specification, significant and intrusive packages. From a waterfront engineering perspective identify suitable maintenance opportunities within the SSMP for significant or intrusive items in order to smooth the SSMP loading.
Attend advanced planning meetings as required.

Candidate:
You will be an experienced PLANNING ENGINEER.
Ideally qualified to HNC / HND / Degree level.
You must be a British national due to ITAR restrictions.
Previously qualified as a submarine Marine Engineering Department Category B or Category A watchkeeper.(Advantageous)
Experienced user of Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, MS Office, MS Access, Acrobat Writer, Visio and Powerpoint.
