Planning Engineer: excellent contract opportunity to work on TWUL Major Projects

The Role:
Our client requires a Planning Engineer to be responsible for the development, management and maintenance of construction programmes using Primavera P6 as the main planning tool for the project. You will be required to undertake review and management of contractors’/suppliers’ programmes and contribute to the weekly/monthly progress reports and ad hoc reports. As Planner, you will be required to ensure project schedules reflect the correct scope of work, meet agreed workplan dates and review/advise on schedule risk and mitigation measures for delay recovery. You will integrate project budget and schedule to forecast cash flow requirements and develop/implement progress performance metrics (SPI, CPI and EV) based on APM guidelines. 

The Candidate:
You will be a Planner with experience of Primavera P6 and expert planning and scheduling knowledge. 
You must be degree qualified or equivalent in Civil/Building Engineering or construction elated discipline. 
You will have knowledge of MS Excel: table (Vlookup, Filtering, Data manipulation & summarisation) and Excel Functions. 
You should have significant construction experience on major multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. 
You must have good report writing, presentation, organisational and communication skills. 
You should be able to develop programmes from first principle as well as critical interrogation of suppliers’ programmes.
