Nuclear Licensing and Safety Policy Manager - upto £55/hr - Contract 12months Devonport

The Project:
Help us to create the naval base and dockyard of the future, supporting the Royal Navy’s current surface and submarine fleets and ready to receive the next generation of naval platforms. We are looking for senior civil, electrical and mechanical engineers who are confident at designing complex, high-value assets and projects. 
Western Europe’s largest naval base. 
For more than three hundred years, engineers have been shaping the dockyard to ensure it supports the fleet and protects the nation. We need you to help continue this tradition, transforming, sustaining and improving Devonport to meet the demands of the Royal Navy for the next hundred years. 
Comprising of 14 dry docks, four miles of waterfront and 25 tidal berths, Devonport is the base for numerous surface vessels as well as the base and refit centre for the Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered submarines.
Devonport has also recently been selected as the base port for the Navy’s new Type 26 frigates and will become the maintenance centre for the future submarine programme, including Astute and Dreadnought class. 

The Role:
Our client, BNSLTD, are looking to recruit Nuclear Licensing & Safety Policy Manager to work on initially on a 12month contract based in the South West of England in the beautiful city of Plymouth - Royal Devonport Dockyard.

Main Purpose of Role:
Development and Management of Nuclear Facility Licensing / Authorisation Plans 
Provision of technical advice on nuclear safety assessment methods and policy 
Management of interfaces with DRDL Nuclear Safety Assurance process 
Support consistent implement Babcock/DRDL Nuclear Safety Processes 
Contribute to development of Nuclear Safety Processes & Standards 
Manage ONR, DNSR & EA interface 
Work with other Safety Managers, Chief Engineer function and Site Safety TA.

The Candidate:
You should have Cat A Nuclear Safety Case Leadership. 
You will ne an expert in development and UK nuclear safety policy and methods 
Nuclear Facility Licensing and/or Authorisation 
Substantive experience of interaction with Nuclear Regulators 
You must be a team Player 
You should have excellent management skills 
CEng Competencies 

Ideally you will hold either STEM Degree or CEng (or equivalent)
