Process Commissioning Engineer: 6 month+ contract, rate £400.00 / day, Glasgow 
KEY SKILLS: Commissioning, Energy to Waste, WWT


The Role:
Process Commissioning Engineer required to join a team on the commissioning of an energy from waste plant.

Duties Will Include:
You will assist the Lead Process Commissioning Engineer in ensuring all activities in relation to the commissioning of the plant are undertaken safely in accordance with the commissioning programme.
Contribution to design reviews, safety reviews from a technical standpoint and lead HAZCOMs.
Assist in the production of commissioning documentation including method statements, risk assessments, etc.
Supervision of subcontractors.
Report to the Lead Process Commissioning Engineer on all commissioning related issues, progress reporting and performance of the plant and associated equipment.
Pre-commissioning:
Assist with the production of various operational documents for inclusion in to the operations & maintenance manuals.
Report on possible design or installation concerns during the M&E installation.
Preparation and review of commissioning procedures, plans, training documents and method statements.
Prepare commissioning check sheets.
Commissioning stage:
Assist in delivering the commissioning aspect of the project in line with the commissioning plan and commissioning programme.
Report on progress, delays, or to advise on modifications required to the programme as necessary.
Ensure all commissioning documentation is completed.
Coordinate with the commissioning team to ensure the sequencing of activities and their interfaces are managed.
Work with the Lead Process Commissioning Engineer to ensure the planned & preventative maintenance is scheduled, actioned and recorded.
Action the commissioning snag list in a timely manner to meet requirements of the client and those of the Independent Certifier.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Process Commissioning Engineer ideally from a waste water / sewage treatment background.
You will be qualified to HNC / degree in process or chemical engineering or other relevant discipline.
You will have experience of anaerobic digestion, chemical & biological odour control and chemical dosing.
In addition, knowledge of the following would be beneficial; biogas, sequential batch reactors, dryers, centrifuges and associated technologies.
HSE awareness and commitment to excellent safety performance.
