The Role:
Our Client is actively recruiting a Procurement Manager / Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of strategic procurement activities across the Airports businesses within our Network & Equipment Support business unit.  This will include the Heathrow & Schiphol Baggage Handling businesses, and the Airport Projects activities based in Leicester.

Duties will involve:
You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to design, develop and implement strategies that meet the needs of each business.
You’ll work with key stakeholders in each business to identify, assess and quantify tangible opportunities, to realise value through the supply chain, owning each opportunity from validation to realisation.
You’ll also support the businesses to transition to, and benefit from, resulting contracts and supply chains.

The Candidate: 
You’ll possess the following attributes, experience and skills;
Wide experience of managing strategic sourcing projects from conception through to completion communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of identifying and delivering year-on-year procurement savings against targets, across a portfolio of procurement initiatives.
Experience of developing and obtaining buy-in for procurement strategies with key stakeholders.
Experience of managing supplier performance and relationships (with multi-million pound spend profiles).
Willingness to travel (must hold a driving licence and valid passport as will be required to Leicester and sometimes Schiphol).
Ideally Degree educated in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or Law.
MCIPS or equivalent professional qualification desirable.
