Project Manager – Engineering; 6 months+ Contract; Bristol; Rate c£55.0/hour

The Role:
Project Manager - Engineering required to work to lead and deliver a substantive project having full responsibility for delivery to time, cost and quality. 

The Client:  This role is within the Marine Sector of Babcock International Group. 
The Marine Sector delivers a wide array of complex through-life marine engineering services. 
Engineering services provided range from UK and international naval fleet support, commercial marine, engineering consultancy, weapons handling, equipment support, intelligence, cyber security and training delivered through unique owned and managed infrastructure to defence and civil customers across the globe. 

Duties will include:  
As Project Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the project definition and scope will satisfy the customer requirement. 
The development of Plans, schedules and control of work information for defined packages, integrating with the wider project(s). 
The development, monitoring, forecasting and reporting against the baseline schedule and estimate. 
Managing the customer interfaces and stakeholder management. 
Ensuring the project is planned and managed in a safe and appropriate manner.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 5years PM experience and demonstrable experience and knowledge of engineering works, e.g. civil works, mechanical or electrical systems / services in either the nuclear or defence sectors.
You will have experience of managing significant multi millions pound budgets.
You will be HND/degree qualified in an engineering related discipline, and hold chartered status with a relevant accredited body. In addition, you will ideally hold APM (or equivalent) qualification.
NB. Due to the nature of the work SC level Clearance is essential for this role.
