Project Manager - Helicopters; Bristol/Yeovil; Min 6-months Contract; Rate £Negotiable (Umbrella)

The Role:
We have two positions available as a Helicopters Project Manager; one based in Bristol working on the Boeing CH-47 Chinook, the other based in Yeovil on the Agusta/Westland AW101 Merlin.
You will be working as an experienced PM within the defence sector, on helicopter-specific projects such as service modifications and upgrades; good technical understanding of defence, aerospace and helicopters in particular is a must.

Duties will involve:
Management and delivery of plans to ensure all necessary preparation and execution tasks and dependencies are included. Ongoing management of those plans to achieve the delivery goals.
Work with key stakeholders to manage the deployment of all aspects of the project assigned to Identify and mitigate potential risks for delivery of products.
Completion of the detailed design phase to time and quality; working with the Design team to secure stakeholder sign-off at all stages.
Development of stakeholder relationship with suppliers; including preparation of joint plans; proposals and any design and build documentation. 

The Candidate: 
You will demonstrate a history of working within the defence sector on helicopter-specific projects; type-specific experience of either the Merlin or Chinook helicopters is recommended but not essential.
Will be a qualified Project Manager (MAPM / PRINCE2 / degree etc.).
MUST have current SC clearance.
