The Role:
In an excellent opportunity to break in to the nuclear industry, or build upon previous nuclear experience, our client, Low Level Waste Repository Ltd (LLWR) is looking for an experienced Project Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Quality team based at Seascale, Cumbria.

Duties will involve:
The successful candidate will be expected to support the Operations & Projects Quality Manager in the maintenance, rationalisation  and development of the integrated management system whilst ensuring it continues to meet ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 and all stakeholder requirements.
Additionally, they’ll ensure that the arrangements identified in the Project QA/QC Strategy are implemented within the project; typically, this will include the Project Execution Plan, QA/QC Strategy and a suite of project Quality Plans such as; Initiate Project, Concept, Preliminary Design, Detailed Design, Procurement and Quality Control (Supply Chain Management), CDM, Construction, and Commissioning.

The Candidate:
You must possess an HNC or HND equivalent qualification in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering,
Have extensive experience of working in major multi-disciplined Construction/Project environment with Civil/CE&I bias, as well as a thorough understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001.
Ideally, you’ll be a Chartered Member of the Quality Institute (CQI) or be working towards, and hold Security Check (SC) clearance.
