Quantity Surveyor: Long-term Contract (c2years); Leicester; Rate £320.0/day Ltd

The Role:
Quantity Surveyor required to join a team delivering projects on Airports. You will be responsible for delivering accurate valuation of project works including variations/compensation events together with reporting of costs.

Duties and responsibilities
Attending site on a weekly basis or as the project requires.
Attend or chair Project meetings as required.
Liaise with the client’s project commercial team.
Negotiating contractual disputes.
Advising Line Manager on compliance with contractual obligations.
Supply chain commercial management.
Improving commercial awareness within the project.
Actively participating in project risk and opportunity reviews.
Supporting procurement in the management of supply contracts and sub-contractors.
Assist the Project Manager in the identifying contract change.
Participate in project financial reviews in conjunction with the project management
team to evaluate cost variances and prepare corrective action plans.
Support the Project Manager on the project controls customer reporting on projects.
You will be required to split your time between the Leicester office and the Gatwick; spending two days per week on site.
 
The Candidate: 
You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with 5 years proven and demonstrably successful commercial experience in Commercial Management of multi-disciplined contracts. 
You will have the ability to review client contracts (NEC3 option A, C, E), ensuring compliance to them. 
the ability to identify and manage project risks and changes.
Ability to create commercial contracts with supply chain. 
Ability to work as a key member of the project delivery team. 
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and be a good team player. 
You will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or have an Engineering qualification with RICS accredited conversion course. 
A current CSCS Card is desirable
