The Role:
Rail Interface Manager/Engineer; an opportunity to undertake a Senior Interim Management role on the prestigious HS2 project. 
You will be responsible for the coordination of the area design teams in the delivery of cost-effective design solutions. 

Additional Duties: 
Facilitating technical submissions from Professional Service Consultants (PSCs) to determine end to end compliance with standards and requirements of the totality of the project. 
The management of the interface with other significant third-party projects. 
Acting as Lead in the development and delivery of safe and affordable technical solutions to support the area teams in design at each stage of the project. 
Providing management and guidance to the area teams, drawing on expertise from within the company to inform and support Professional Service Consultants in delivering consistency of design. 
Act as the interface between the Technical Directorate and the area teams ensuring any issues are consistently addressed. 
Undertake the Identification, assessment and management of project wide design risks. 
Ensure technical developments are instructed in a timely manner and that suitable gap analysis is undertaken to assess the implications of change.
Lead the provision of expert technical and engineering input, designs, documentation and responses required to support the hybrid bill through parliament including additional provisions, freedom of information requests, and technical requests. 
Ensure consistency of engineering messaging across public consultation and planning forums, supporting the Senior Area Engineers where required. Explore technical opportunities for developing innovation and value engineering across the network.

The Candidate: 
You will be Chartered Engineer; qualified to Degree level in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering or Construction or a related field. 
You will have experience of leading and managing design teams. 
You will have significant experience of interfacing with stakeholders and preferably external design consultants.
