Requirements Engineer

2 year Contracts for 4 x  Requirements Engineers required on major Rail projects based in Bristol, Reading or Newport

The Role:
You will be part of the team responsible for the development and management of the project requirement specifications for major project elements of the GWRM programme.  These requirements cover the whole project lifecycle including design through to construction and operation. The Requirements Engineer will be required to lead on aspects of requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, specification, verification, and management of the real needs of the project stakeholders, including staff, customers and end users.

The Candidate:
Knowledge and use of proprietary requirements management tools, such as DOORs;
Experience of major multidisciplinary projects with associated Rail and/or Urban locations;
Track record of working with rail stakeholders such as Network Rail, London Underground and Utility companies.
Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
Minimum 5 years practical experience as a requirements engineer. 
Qualified with a relevant technical degree level
