Safety Engineer (X4) Devonport Plymouth - Contract 6 months - Rate £30-£60/hr

POSITION ON HOLD - This Position is on hold due to COVID 19 – restrictions; as, the client is unable to provide information on start dates.

We are however; still, accepting applications from candidates, who wish to be considered for the role, once these restrictions are lifted and start dates are known.


Overview/Duties:

You will be responsible for providing Babcock’s operations with specialist knowledge and support relating to nuclear and radiological safety (which could include radiological protection and human factors), and to ensure Babcock’s ongoing compliance with regulations. We are looking for individuals to support both new-build infrastructure as well as projects relating to the development of existing dockyard and naval base assets.

Duties could include
•Provide nuclear and radiological knowledge and support to the business.
•Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and the terms of the site licence.
•Deliver nuclear safety cases and licencing plans
•Develop and implement nuclear safety processes and standards
•Provide technical advice on nuclear safety assessment processes and policy

Candidate:
You will be an experienced Safety Engineer
Ideally qualified HNC / HND / Degree / Chartership level.
You will need excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Good team building skills.
