The Role / Duties:
Our client Babcock Naval Marine are looking to recruit 2 Safety & Environmental Engineers to work on a 12month contract based in Devonport, Plymouth.
The role and duties will involve:
To provide professional safety engineering capabilities within Babcock Energy & Marine Technology for assets and products.
Providing Safety support in appropriate Engineering Discipline.
Preparing and checking Safety documentation as required. 
Supporting preparation of Safety Case Reports and Safety Assessments as appropriate. 
Preparing and facilitating Safety Reviews. 
Managing safety Hazard Databases. 
Representing Group as directed by Supervisor. 
Delivering work to time, cost and quality. 
Providing professional engineering support to surface ship and submarine projects as directed by Supervisor. 

Bidding 
Assisting in the preparation of safety estimates and schedules. 
Assisting in the preparation of Technical Reviews in support of tender responses requiring safety input. 

Project 
Assisting in the Safety aspects of selecting sub-contractors and/or suppliers. 
Liaising with Project to resolve Project Safety issues. 
Liaising with Production to resolve safety problems.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Safety & Environmental Engineer
You should be qualified to at least HNC level
You will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ideally you will have completed SSMO Safety course.
You should have experience of Def Stan 0056 and JSP430.
