Safety Engineer - LONG TERM CONTRACT - Bristol - £45-£55/hr neg.

ESSENTIAL: British Nationals only due to the nature / security level on the project.
The Role:
Our client based in Bristol is looking to recruit a number of Safety Engineers / Safety Case Engineers to work on a long term contract basis within the defence / MOD / defence / nuclear industry sector.
Your duties will include:
Developing safety assessments for high hazard nuclear facilities, Cat 1 / 2 or A / B.
Understanding of UK regulatory context (ONR requirements / guidance).
Producing high quality written work i.e complex documents that give a clear and accurate message.
Experience of HAZID / HAZOP / Fault schedule development.
Managing design and safety interface and production of safety functional requirements.
Client side trips to Devonport is also required on these roles.
The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Safety Engineer / Safety Case Engineer, degree educated / chartered (preferably from an engineering discipline), or demonstratively equivalent experience within the UK nuclear industry.
You should have at least 5 -10+ years experience - within nuclear / defence / MOD industry sectors.
You will take a strong interest in understanding client's problems and in shaping programmes of work to resolve them against the backdrop of a highly regulated industry.
Experience of nuclear lifting and structural integrity would be advantageous.
