Overview / Duties:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working alongside Babcock Naval Marine to recruit a Design & Safety Process Engineer to work on a 12month contract based in Devonport Plymouth PL2.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a company providing essential through-life support to the Royal Navy’s Surface Fleet and Submarine Fleet. As part of this crucial team you will work to ensure that the facilities meet both the customer needs, and the standards of regulators. The team are often out on site using their Science and Engineering knowledge to understand how proposed and on-going work could affect the design intent of plant. It is the team’s role to control the safety case which permits these changes to be made to their nuclear site, therefore attention to detail and a questioning attitude are valued attributes.

Duties & responsibilities of the role are as follows;-
Liaise with Design and Technical Authorities to understand technical detail and provide customer guidance.
Manage and implement changes to Safety Cases.
Able to solve complex and diverse problems without compromising safety to the submarine programme.
Good interpersonal skills to manage our stakeholders and help them to deliver changes on the ground.
Able to think logically gaining information from other teams and then suggesting solutions.
Take ownership of the delivery of critical path activities to support the submarine programme.
Prioritise workload to ensure programme deadlines are met. 

Candidate:
You will be an experienced Design & Safety Process Engineer.
You will need to be SC Cleared/Security Cleared.
You will need excellent communication skills both written and oral.
