The Role:
Wilde Recruitment are engaged with a local Design Consultancy in order to recruit a Senior Bridge Engineer. This is a contract position outside scope of IR35 for an initial period of 12 months based in Oldham OL1.
Description of services required are as follows:
To provide support to the Asset Management Services Team 
Be responsible for the Council’s highway structural assets and public right of way within the Borough  and to undertake the Whole Government Submission.
Be responsible for the principal inspections, General Inspections, safety inspection and structural assessments of the Borough’s asset stock.
Shall carry out the checking, certifying and authorising for issue designs, documents, approvals, Professional Skill and Care Certificates and reports as directed.
Shall produce technical input to the agreement of project briefs, proposals, procurement and deliverables with Project Managers.
The Engineer shall agree to delivery targets from the Principal Engineer and report regularly on progress towards milestones.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Bridge Engineer.
Ideally you will have local authority experience.
You should be qualified to HND / Degree / Chartered status.
You will need excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
