Senior Buyer - 6month Contract – Manchester - c£40.0/hour Umbrella   
KEY Skills: Senior Buyer, Construction, Utilities, CIPD   

The Role:
Senior Buyer required with construction industry experience to lead and manage two Buyers engaged on a major gas utilities project. 
You will have line management responsibility of two Buyers on the project. 
You will be responsible for the development of strong relationships across the project, working collaboratively, influencing stakeholders including leaders and key decision-makers. 
You undertake regular data analysis, reporting and presenting internally on immediate and future priorities, risks, issues and potential solutions.
Additional duties will include:
Commodity research and spend analysis. 
Sourcing new subcontractors or material suppliers. 
Conducting tender exercises. 
Ensuring compliance to internal policies and procedures across the contract.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Senior Buyer educated to degree/HNC level and preferably with Membership of CIPS (or working towards).
You will have previous experience within construction industry and ideally utilities (gas, water or electricity)    
You will have at least 5 years’ experience in Procurement and sub-contracts. Supply Chain Management skills are essential.
