Senior Construction Project Manager – Defence: Contract, Cambridge – RAF Wyton, Duration: at least 6-months, Rate: ~£500/day umbrella

The Role:
The Defence Infrastructure Organisation’s (DIO) Programme and Projects Delivery business unit is looking for a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in construction, building surveying and estates/facilities experience, in what is a superb contract opportunity.
Based at RAF Wyton near Cambridge, you will be called upon to work on several projects such as airfield works at RAF Barkston Heat, Accommodation at RAF Digby, office/technical accommodation at RAF Wattisham and intelligence services buildings at RAF Wyton.

Duties will involve:
The successful Project Manager will;
Support the DIO Requirements Manager in defining the project requirements.
Engage with DIO and MoD SMEs to obtain specific design/construction criteria and ensure that the requirements are contained within any Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation.
Formulate the technical aspect of NEC3 ITTs and tender evaluation criteria for specific projects. 
Act as interface with MoD’s FM contractors and DIO Service Delivery team regarding both construction and future operating and maintenance. 

The Candidate:
You MUST hold active Security Check (SC) clearance or higher.
You will have a relevant construction/building surveying HNC/HND or higher.
Hold a recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, MSP etc.
Must have in-depth knowledge and experience of NEC3 contracts.
Have at least five years’ relevant construction project management experience.
