Senior Drainage Engineer; 12 Months Contract; Oldham; Rate c£35-£45/hr LTD

Wilde Recruitment are engaged with a local Design Consultancy in order to recruit a Drainage Engineer. This is a contract position outside scope of IR35 for an initial period of 12 months based in Oldham OL1.
Description of services required are as follows:
To provide support to the Asset Management Services Team
The Engineer is to undertake services within an engineering environment which may include);
Investigate flooding incidents in the local authority and publish the results of any investigation; and maintain a register of structures or features which they consider to have a significant effect on flood risk.
Scheme investigation, EA’s Business case production and submission.
Preliminary design, detailed design, construction, construction, inspection and supervision.
Produce relevant reports such as the S19 when triggered by a flooding event.
Respond to planning applications in relation to drainage and sustainable urban drainage systems.
Work collaboratively with flood risk management organisations such as EA, UU, CRT, etc.
The Engineer shall identify funding flooding mitigation solutions and be proactive in the application of external funding of identified schemes within the Borough and be responsible for the Council’s drainage assets.
The Engineer shall agree to delivery targets from the Principal Engineer and report regularly on progress towards milestones.
You will be an experienced Drainage Engineer.
Ideally you will have local authority experience.
You should be qualified to at least HNC level.
