The Role:
Our client, Balfour Beatty Utilities requires a Senior Draughtsperson to support the engineering department and project design teams in regard to the design of the transmission and distribution aspect of the prestigious Hinkley Point C nuclear power station.

Duties will involve:
To support the Engineering Department, Project Design Team, through the provision of high-quality sketches and Engineering Drawings.
Control of all allocated drawings in line with PAS 1192-2 for delivery of BIM projects at Design & Construction stage. 
Understand, maintain and apply Divisional QA policy and procedures in line with the requirements of ISO9001:2000 and to ensure that corrective and preventive action in respect of products, services and the quality system are effective. 
Production of 2D/3D CAD drawings. 
Liaising with Design Engineers. 
Liaising with Site Project Team. 
Maintaining Drawing Records. 
Carry out Surveys and Measurements. 
Liaising with fabricators and others e.g. Site Operatives.

The Candidate: 
Must have OHL or Cabling Power Transmission experience, at least 2 years Civil/Structural experience and ideally has GIS as well as 3D/BIM Modelling experience. Additionally;
Must be proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation latest versions. 
Experience in preparation of Layout Drawings. 
Experience of Civil/Structural CAD Design and Drawings. 
Knowledge of Reinforced Concrete and preparation of Bar Bending Schedules. 
Proficient in writing of notes for general arrangements and detail drawings, as per latest British Standard.
