Senior Electrical Engineer - Bristol - 6 month Contract - c£42/hr

The Role:
We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on projects within the MOD / defence and maritime sectors.
Your duties will include:
Managing design work in appropriate engineering disciplines
Acting as Design Manager responsible to Project Manager for projects
Management of technical aspects of selecting sub-contractors and / or suppliers
Management of technical aspects of work carried out by sub-contractors and / or suppliers
Liaising with project team to resolve project issues
Liaising with production team to resolve manufacturing problems
SQEP resource where possible
Report writing
Maintaining records and archives to company standards
Acting as independent technical assessor when required
Being chairperson of design reviews (of appropriate categorisation) to identify best technical solution to fulfil project objectives

The Candidate:
You will be a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer qualified to degree / chartership level with experience of working on projects within the defence / marine sectors.
You will have experience in managing a team to interpret a design requirement and create a design solution.
Authorising design documentation.
As an experienced Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer you will provide professional engineering support to surface ship, submarine, commercial and equipment projects.
Be capable of providing business development support.
