This is a forward thinking, exciting and progressive consultancy who are involved in a number of different industry sectors including:
Building Services Design.
Mechanical & Electrical.
Civil Engineering.
Geotechnical.
Nuclear.
Infrastructure Services.

Due to an increase in winning bids/tenders they are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer within their nuclear sector.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer they are looking for:
A solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles.
A track record of delivering technical solutions to meet the customer’s requirements in challenging time scales.
A desire to be challenged and contribute to the success and growth of the business.
Liaising with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
Following Quality Assurance processes.
Reviewing or checking colleagues’ work and presenting your findings/work to clients.
Working effectively, both in project teams and independently.
Production of designs and calculations to demonstrate acceptable equipment performance
Stress analysis hand calculations using Mathcad.
Application of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and interpretation of the results to influence the design process.
Authoring key technical documentation.
Use of 2D and 3D CAD packages, ideally Autodesk Inventor.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Mechanical Engineer.
Ideally qualified to HND - but they will consider all applications dependent on experience
You WILL have worked with the Nuclear sector - essential.
