Snr Mechanical Resident Engineer - Cairo - 24months - Contract

The Role:
You will be a Resident Engineer - Mechanically bias - qualified Engineer having a proven and demonstrable track record in within Building Services / MEP /  Shopping Centre sectors.
You will be asked to carry out detailed reviews (and reporting of same) of contractor shop drawings and materials submittals, against the tender documents and other project requirements.
Review and comment upon any method statements prepared by the Contractor.
Responding expediently to site generated technical queries, requests for information, and change requests.
As an experienced RE you will have to conduct regular inspection of the installed MEP services and regular reporting of same against the contract specifications and drawings, and best practice installation standards.
Undertake a role in the MEP commissioning activities (witness testing) and associated reporting.
 

The Candidate:
Being an experienced Mechanical Resident Engineer you must have a client focused outlook, be able to demonstrate solid experience of working in both a design and site capacity, with a good working knowledge of building services installations. Working as part of a team, you will be expected to manage your own work load and that of a small number of other staff on site, undertake a site engineer role and to maintain excellent levels of client service.

Qualifications (desired):
CIBSE / IET / IMechE Engineering Council accredited honours degree or specific experience that will lead to Chartership.
