Senior Planner: Excellent Long Term Contract opportunity - Derby - Rate £400 - £550/day

The Role:
Our client requires a Senior Planner to assist in the delivery of the Rolls Royce Nuclear manufacturing facility at Derby from Construction through to Active Commissioning. The role will involve you to maintain schedule, expedite progress, resolve issue, update progress and communicate status to the project team. As Senior Planner you will ensure that correct scope of work is reflected in all schedules and prepare schedule performance reports, forecasts and variance analysis, developing recovery plans where appropriate. The contract is initially for 6 months but has the potential to be extended, depending on performance.

The Candidate:
You must be a Senior Planner with sound knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office applications. 
You will have 3-5 years of proven planning experience working in a team on a project environment.
You MUST have current security clearance.
You will have experience of writing reports and communicating with project members of all levels.
You should have strong project planning competence (scope management, scheduling, resource management, budget allocation and control, earned value reporting and analysis, change control). 
You should have good interpersonal and communication skills. 
It is desired that you will have experience of Plant and Equipment installation and Facility Commissioning.
A formal PM Qualification such as APM APMP (IPMA Level D) is also preferred although not essential.
