Senior Planning Engineer; 6 Months+ Contract; Plymouth; Rate c£40.0/ hour Ltd

The Role:
Babcock Marine are looking for Senior Planning Engineer to join the team at HMNB Devonport, Plymouth to provide effective project planning services to large-scale infrastructure projects with individual packages including infrastructure improvements, construction services, demolitions and site establishment amongst others.

Duties will involve:
Preparation of robust tender and contract programmes using the designated planning tools.
Fully resourcing programmes, producing resource histograms, resourcing level programmes, understanding and communicating the effect on programme schedules to the project team.
Including appropriate financial data in the programme to produce a project cost/time distribution profile and communicating the results to the project team.
Acting as mentor to Junior Planning members to assist in their personal development.
Reporting to and supporting the Planning Manager.

The Candidate:
Minimum 5 years’ planning experience in a project-based engineering environment using Primavera planning software.
Project planning and change management for small/medium/large sized projects.
Supervised junior members of planning staff.
Worked in a tender planning environment.
SC clearance is desirable and the candidate must be eligible for this level of clearance if not currently held.
